| Change of
Address: , l notify the office AT ONCE of any change in address or telephone number l keep the office current on all emergency numbers |
| Classroom
Visitation: l parents are always welcome to visit classrooms, however, in accordance with the teachers' contract, parents and visitors are "not permitted to interrupt class or come to a teacher's room during class time unless they have made an appointment with the teacher" l to make an appointment with a teacher, you may send the teacher an email by clicking on his or her name in the staff list, or call the office and leave the teacher a message (853 4250) l remember that all parents and visitors must report to the office before going anywhere in the building |

| Doctor's
Appointments: l it is important that students be in class at all times l if it is necessary to have your child excused from school early to keep a medical or dental appointment, send a note signed by the parent/guardian to school with your child l it is the students' responsibility to make up any missed assignments |
| Field Trips: l student fees must be paid in order to participate l no child may participate in a class trip without parent/guardian PERMISSION AND SIGNATURE on the form sent home by the teacher l there is often a per pupil charge for bus and admission l in most cases regular or chartered buses are used for class trips |
| Illness or
Accidents While at School: l keep emergency numbers up to date in the school office--every effort is made to notify parents promptly l when parent/guardian is not available, the school calls the emergency number given by the parent/guardian on the emergency card l children without emergency cards on file in the office will be sent home |
| Medication and
Health: l Cincinnati Public Schools operate under the rules of the Board of Health l children returning to school after having a contagious disease should bring a note from their doctor l if your child cannot participate in regular play and physical activities, send a note explaining the reason and defining the duration l procedures for prescription medication MUST BE STRICTLY FOLLOWED l call the office (853 4250) for the complete procedure or the medication WILL NOT BE PERMITTED AT SCHOOL l non-prescription medication (cough drops, nasal sprays, aspirin, etc.) are not covered by Board Policy and are NOT PERMITTED on school grounds AT ANY TIME l parents may come to school to administer the medicine if they choose |
| Parking:
l do not pull into or out of school driveways before school or during dismissal l observe all "no parking" signs on the street l do not park or stand in areas on Cedar Ave. reserved for buses l do not double park at any time l have children get into and out of cars on the sidewalk, not in the street l do not pull into or turn around in the school driveways on Cedar Ave. and Llanfair Ave. |
| Safety Patrol:
l guards are at these crossings before and after school each day: Cedar Ave, Llanfair Ave. |
| Teacher
Conferences: l teachers are always happy to confer with parents; please arrange a mutually agreeable time l do not expect to discuss your child with the teacher during class time l if you wish to have a conference with the principal, call the school office to arrange a time (853 4250) |
| Weather
Procedures: l inform your children what to do and where to go if school is dismissed early or for severe weather conditions l your plans should not include telephone calls from school |
| Withdrawal:
l notify your child's teacher by note if your child is being withdrawn l indicate in the note the last day of school for the child and his or her new address and/or new school |
